Default Ford 6000 CD

Does the 6000 CD head unit fitted to the C-Max have an aux socket in the back for plugging in an i-pod?

No, I just pulled one out of a late Mk1 focus and had a look for you.

Just the normal inputs plus the one for steering wheel/module control.

Got a 6006 in another car somewhere, will have a look at that as well when I've done a poo.

is it the earlier round ones you want to put into the later square holes?
they won't fit and there are several different dash facia's depending on which unit you are fitting

for example, the sony head unit has a specific design and you need the sony designed fasia bit to get it to fit properly as the supporting brackts at the back don't line up and foul the wiring etc

you also need to make sure you get a head unit from a C max as some different units won't be copatablie with your facias either

and some have a plug in the back that is a basic headphone jack to plug the ipod into, but again, this lead may or may not be there and it may or may not work with all the different models

you could buy an aftermarket head unit which has and ipod plug-in, decent sound quality and many other functions for alot less
