Well my Xbox 360 has finally died :cry:
Yup, i got the ring of death when watching a DVD before. 
How do i go about sending it back and getting a new one? Thats if i can do that?

just register it on the microsoft support website they will send ups to your door to pick it up fix it and drop it back off at your door for free very good service i got with mine nothing to worry about. 
Well it was working before I sent it to you!

You keep your HD if you send it back to MS.
But, you could always go out and buy one from say Tescos. And then return it in a couple of days because it's not working
and get your money back. Or wait about 5 weeks for MS to get yours fixed and back to you.

just send the computer thats it no HD or cables .... and as it xmas it mite take a while to get it back but its all free and they just sent me a brand new one.... go on the web site sign up then phone them and they will sort it all out for ya

I know a few folk that have done it. I wouldn't chance it at Game or anywhere they have half a clue. But at Tesco's, Asda it'll be okay.
Just say something like:
"Hi, I bought this last week and it's stopped working. I've read on the internet that alot of them seem to go wrong so I'd just like my money back please"
Job done. And all they do is send it back to MS for repair anyway.

I had to open mine to get two cd's out of it, fucking kids 
but this obvioulsy broke the warranty seal, am I up shit creak if I get the red ring of death? Can it be fixed DIY style or is there a lot that knackers up?

Yes microsoft increased the warranty to 3 years for the red ring of death problem so no need to send it anywhere else.
Mine was sent back with a broken warranty seal as it was flashed, and then flashed back to standard when I returned it. Took 5 weeks but got a replacement sent out no problems. They will either fix or replace.
