lol me and thrush went for the online one because he said "online" and "on the internet" so we gave him an online scanner, if you meant Anti virus then yes get AVG, infact what id do is use that online scanner first and remove any shit it finds, then if you dont have a decent AV(you obviously dont if your pc is filled with shit) then download AVG update it and then run a full scan which will take 20-30mins

Update AVG(click on update button) and run a full scan.

About the laptop specs, right click on "my computer" then go to "properties" and then theres the specs of the processor and how much ram.

To find out how much hard drive space, double click "my computer" icon, find the hard drive icon and click once and on the left it should say how much free space you have and the capacity, for a more detailed view right click on the hard drive icon and select "properties" and there you go

Thats for windows xp by the way, if you have vista then the above will be incorrect, let me know if you have vista

AVG Is shit hot and free - be sure to disable daily scan though it's a pain in the arse

A better way though is via a bootlable dos disk

get your hands on Hirens 9.3

The best CD you will ever burn
