Great game that was

As the commentators said he was slow out of the blocks but soon got his ass in gear and produced when needed as always

And Selby is an awesome player, he is up there with the top players and i think its only a matter of time until he wins a final he also has another good quality in that hes a good loser, he was still smiling and applauding ronnie followed by a few words, top bloke

Oh yeah, and bring on tomorrows final, its going to be fantastic be hard for ronnie as hes just played this semi all day then hes gotta come out tomorrow for the final, where as Steven has had the day off, i dout that will stop ronnie from coming out and giving us something to cheer about

yes very true, selby IS a good loser and a good sportsman.

I'm sure Steven has been playing all day aswell though to try and stay at the top of his game. if he relaxes too much he'll get complacent and sloppy!

still, cant bloody wait

yh good sportsmanship between the two of them, both have got a sense of humour aswell which is nice to see in snooker.

The 147 to finish off the match was simply awesome, alot of players would start to tense up when it comes within a few shots of closing a match, but no, ronnie just bangs out another maximum to add to his collection

Don't care what anyone else says, he IS the best best snooker player in the history of the game

yeah even when it goes off you can just hit the red button and its all live i like to watch as much as possible live on normal tv because you get the studio comments between frames, but normally when its the final the BBC cover the whole lot from start to finish

He was trying to make sure he did not lose concentration, so he was counting the number of bots that appeared on the spoon.

Sounds weird - but when asked about the spoon, the above is what he said on a Radio 5 live interview I heard this morning.

Edited:

O'Sullivan revealed he did so by counting spots on the side of a spoon.

"There were 108 dots on either side, and I was counting them in twos and threes," he explained. "It was my little mental exercise.

Thats not the case, lots of players in the 60-70's were at their peak in their 40's, today will still have players over 40 competing, all be it not getting into finals etc but their still damn good, i.e steve davis, john parrot

If they do get worse it will be the mental side, like concentration and stuff like that, and also eye sight could play a part, everyone loses their eyesight slightly as they get older, its a 12foot long table dont forget

yeah well it aint all down to eye sight, most of the reason is concentration levels going down with age i reckon.
