Internet Explorer settings? cant connect?!

Got this Johnny...
But, Im not "offline" , I've checked the settings?!
done a test thing and no problems came up, said my internet connection is fine

goto to you run command and type cmd
a block box will show up
type ping www.google.com (return)
at the same time type ipconfig (return)

somtimes programs think you have a proxie server and add a proxie address

Sorry mate im confused
All I get when I go into settings is this...
As for firefox, I dont like the layout, and dont need it, I use AOL and have no problems with it.... Its just my Winamp aint playing because my IE aint connecting

start---> control panel--> network
then the uper left corner --->file ---> new connection then follow the wizard
