Aren't you like 17 or 18? How do you remember it being 40p a litre? I'm 26 and I don't even remember it being 40p a litre! It was 70-odd when I first started buying petrol, which would have been about 1998 I guess....

I've got 3000 litres of LPG available so I won't be stuck

I might think about getting some fuel cans ready filled for the 27th as it won't be a very good day if we have no petrol

how is that wherever they build a petrol station there is petrol underneath it? how do they know it is there? knowing my luck if i built one there wouldnt be any under it

on a serious note, i think this petrol blockades thing is another hoax. there was one a few weeks after the proper fuel blockades which alot of people fell for.

if you look on hauliers forums there is no mention of it, and if hauliers unions were planning anything i doubt they would announce it they would spring it as a surprise like last time.

and the government has the powers to remove any vehicles blocking depots now.

and hauliers unions wouldnt get the public sympathy if they tried to bring the country to its knees right on Xmas.

in the last protests Blair made out to the public that the hauliers were the "baddys" for not letting ambulances through etc, and the public fell for it and the public feeling turned against the protestors. so if it happened now, gordon brown would play the "ruining xmas" card.

Tesco cut the price of unleaded yesterday at the store near me. Went from 102.9 to 98.9 for unleaded. Diesel on the other hand is 106.1.. fuckin super is cheaper @ 105!!!!!!!!!!!

I spoke to a few of our drivers this morning, they say its just scare tactics and fuck all will happen or change.

Drivers are too worried about loosing licenses and stuff to take any real action.

i hope they will bring the the country to its knees. would be fun just befor xmas. i just cant understand why they dont let the hauliers run reduced tax fuel, maybe not as much as red but cheaper than white. everyone would benifit in the long run
