ive got a y-reg mondeo tddi estate mk 3 175k
the problem is no boost
it runs a little lumpy sometimes and hesitates
work done so far
new glow plugs, fuel filter, bleeded properly, new fan switch(as was kicking in too early)
had it upto a mate at ford and logged onto to machine, showing no faults
all boost pipes checked,turbo inspected,no smoke,or play,map sensor,actuator, tested
it feels like a normal diesel,ie no td,linked a boost gauge up and it is just making 0,no psi
its high milage but somethings up,the only thing i can think is diesel pump??but not showing up on computer at ford, and told its not injectors
HELP

Have you got any boost leaks?
Its a shame you have changed the fuel filter, because one way to check the pump for wear is to remove the fuel filter, empty the fuel into a clean container and check the fuel for metal particles. Ford say that any more than a finger nail sized amount of metal particles is bad.
You could try it with the new filter though. It isnt unknown for these pumps to wear.
Hope this helps, Karl

he said hed checked the turbo. but youve definately checked the wastegate is closing properly and not stuck open slightly? a common thing with diesels may be worth checking again
