I think as long as the bike is legal (MOT'd and registered) you can do it.

Not ALL registrations are transferrable even with MOT etc, look on the V5 first as if it states NOT TRANSFERRABLE it isn't!!

Look it up it is still listed for you non beleivers, DVLA do make mistakes as they did when this when this MK2 was imported from jersey.
I do not wish to know what is between the ears of some of you.
I did not reg the car but bought it as it was, a orangey/terracotta colour escort mk on a "Y" reg.
tabetha
ps that was at least 9 years ago

what was the year of first registration though?

the car in my sig was built in 89 but in june, but it wasn't sold till december, thus making it a G rather than an F plate

The dvla site says date of first reg as 1982, but FACT it was used and registered in 1980 by the owner's son from whom I purchased it.
I have bought several Jersey cars over the years, some had age related plates some not, just luck of the draw it seems.
This must have been one of the very last mk2's a 1300gl auto, but still a 1980 car on a Y plate which was the argument!!
Dvla site also says year of manufacture was 1980.

fuck off you cunt

you said you could put a newer reg on an older car yet then you say the dvla made a mistake after you imported one. thats a LOT different than phoning dvla, buying a new personal plate like "X1XXX" and sticking it on your series 1 isnt it!!

bell end.
