and lets not forget!....how on earth did the judges give the verdict to mayweather in the De la hoya fight?....to take the championship from the champ, you have to take it from him!!....mayweather didn't do that!
Hence why Ricky MUST knock this cock cheese out!!

I agree Robski. As Ricky said at the press conference, "Floyd will run he said he won't but he will and i will have to chase him so i've hired 2 of the best sparing partners around, Forest gump and Carl Lewis.

I sadly agree.... what non boxing people seem to be forgetting is that this fight is at WELTERWEIGHT!!!

not light welter where Ricky has lived all his career and done so well!!

Its at 10'7.... NOT at 10'

The only other time Ricky fought at 10'7 he won a VERY debatable decision against Luiz Collazo.... I thought he lost that fight

I want Ricky to win sooooooooooooooo much it hurts.... but I just can't see it Mayweather is just too slippery and too fast

I know what you're saying, Porkie. When the fight was given the green light and i read about it at welter i initially thought "oh shit" as you say although Ricky won the title moving up he was dodgy and sluggish. However his trainer etc has said that they only had 5 weeks prepartion on that one as well as making the mistake of trying to bulk him.

Hopefully they really have learned from before and the comments of him being in great shape are true and not just talk. Apart from the points thing i don't think being in the US will matter either as he's used to it now and will have an army there in and out. Last point is that all the recent fights in the US have been geared up for Mayweather so if he isn't ready for this then what will he be ready for.

You think it will be fairly easy for Floyd then or a bit of a battle?

The fight may well be at welterweight, but even at light welterweight Ricky steps into the ring at the 10st 12lb mark, 5lbs above welterweight. The mistake he made against Collazo was to go in the ring at 11st 4lb ish and didn't have the frame to support that for 12 rounds, he has boxed 40 bouts at around the 10st 12lb mark which is how he intends to box on the night against Mayweather.

When Mayweather fought De La Hoya at 11st (Light middleweight) he went into the ring on that night at 10st 9lb which still makes him lighter than Ricky Hatton.

Mayweather was best and most prolific at 10st and below and i believe does not carry the welterweight power like a natural welterweight, Maybe Ricky doesn't also, at least it makes it even. Hatton is a destructive force at his peak, no showboats, i believe the scorecards won't be needed and Hatton WILL win.

Klitschko may of been on top until he got cut,but if the fight had carried on he would of been knocked out,as lennox was starting to put the pressure on and taking control.

Ricky wins first 2 rounds on sheer aggression and then Mayweather boxes his ears off and stops him on cuts or wins on points.

i really don't know which way it will go.

i've watched a lot of the coverage on sky in the last few days, it seems that Mayweathers camp don't give Hatton a chance at all....In contrast there is a lot of respect from Hatton and his trainer in particular.

Hatton said something along the lines of;

" With him belittling people, flashing his cash and throwing hundred dollar bills in peoples faces.....how can i let someone like that have a chance? how can i let myself tire or hurt during the fight? ...i won't give him anything!!! "

I saw that. I like it when he was talking about how well he's been doing and eating then says "after all that i saw Floyd get on the plane with a 12" pizza and i wanted to knock him out there and then"

3rd in series of 24/7 buildup to the fight on sky sports 1 at 7pm

i must say everyone on here seems to be very sure of it being a one sided fight for BOTH fighters,i think the clash of styles will make for an epic fight and not one sided for either fighter.

boxing fans need to give ricky a chance, part time boxing fans need to realise the talent that mayweather has.
