Default warning about a e bay seller

i bought a reiger bumper off e bay user
snoopydog999
his real name is
paul smout of Bryn,Llanelli,Wales
on receipt of this bumper on monday from the courior, i discovered that it was not a real one but a cheap fiberglass copy(so cheap that its transparent in places)
i then unwrapped it properly to find it wasnt wrapped very well, just a bit of shrink wrap and card board no bubble wrap or stengthening and it had 7 cracks some as long as 8 inches
so i send a e mail to the seller and say the bumper is not as described and is damaged and i would like a refund
so today after about 3 or 4 messages with no reply i file a dispute and he answers straight away

here is what has happened so far
749steve 02-Dec-07 at 11:13:38 GMT
Item Significantly Not As Described: FOCUS RS MK1 STYLE FRONT BUMPER. NEW STILL IN WRAPPER (#270188022541)
Payment Method: Credit Card
Payment Date: 20-Nov-2007
Additional Details: the bumper is not a reiger bumper as described but a cheap fibreglass copy
there is no way this
item would have cost £280 new as copys are only around £90 new
the bumper was also damaged in seven
places when received
we have tried contacting the seller but he has not responded

snoopydog999 02-Dec-07 at 12:42:08 GMT
should take complaint up with courier company, was well packaged and undamaged when sent.
do your worse,
if it wasn't damaged i would have taken it back.

749steve 02-Dec-07 at 16:18:31 GMT
It is up to you to contact the courier as you are the courier companies customer not us. The item
is also not as described. I will contact my credit card company who will issue a chargeback with
paypal as you are not willing to settle this amicably.

please spread the word about this guy

here is the latest instalment from him
snoopydog999 02-Dec-07 at 19:02:48 GMT
you paid for the courier, i sent it for you, so the courier is your problem, you owned the bumper
when i sent it.

749steve 02-Dec-07 at 19:48:08 GMT
We paid for postage to you and YOU paid the courier. You have the paperwork so it was up to you to
deal with the courier when we sent you the e-mail on Monday advising you of the damage as soon as we
received the bumper. The bumper was received damaged and was not as listed. We would like to end
this amicably with a refund or as I have stated before I will contact my credit card company and ask
for a chargeback.

snoopydog999 02-Dec-07 at 22:06:50 GMT
i will tell you for the last time, it wasnt damaged when it left, so i will not give a refund.

749steve 02-Dec-07 at 23:33:29 GMT
it maybe wasnt, but it still has been damaged in transit which means its your responsibilty.and it
is not a reiger bumper as the listing stated,so the bumper is not as descibe. if you had stated that
it was a fiberglass reiger replica, then i would not of purchased it.

since im getting no where
with you,i will have the chargeback done in the morning

am i right here in thinking this guy is off his rocker?
or is he right?

If paypal give you a chargeback, Ebay can remove the Neg feedback as it is unfair and only out of spite But your Neg for him will stand

just bid on all his items and wait for him to remove your bids

alternativly, make up some spoof email accounts linked to his proper email account and then sign him up to everything you can

or just forget about it as he's welsh

I had some twat use the buy it now on one of my auctions (an amp) and then sent me a mail asking if I took paypal, when it CLEARLY stated in my auction I didn't. So I said no, cheque/cash on collection only, and he ignored all my emails (I sent about 5 reminders over about 2 weeks, then two more saying unless I get a reply I will file a non-paying bidder thingy.... No reply. So I filed one.

Got a reply within a couple hours And he had the cheek to say "so this is how you want to sort it out. nice"

Hi Steve,

Was reading this post late last night with interest.
Got up this morning and something under ebay general announcements caught my eye.
It is to do with Negative feedback being left and Unfair postage and packing charges as Watchdog seems to be doing a feature on them.
Might help you!!

ebay has turned into a lot of people thinking that they can't get caught out if they do something wrong as "it's only feedback"

there should be a fairly cutting feedback reply which shows exactly what sorts of unreasonable cunts they have been

or perhaps there is a way to put the wanker smiley into the feedback
