Can anyone explain the difference between OBD1 and OBD11. diagnosis.
Its one of the questions on my Lads exam paper.

i think obd1 is basic manufacturer specific, i.e. you'd need to take the vehicle back to the dealer to be fixxed. obd2 is eobd, european on board diagnostics, meaning essential live data relating to the engine and engine fault codes can be accessed by anyone with eobd software using the standard 16-pin diagnostic connector.

I *think* i'm on the right lines, hopefully it will give you something to start with to check through google/wikidpedia!
