No they are not expensive, but have a great club scene, was on the Morris 8 forum this week & their were 54 viewers on, not PF but a thriving interest in these great old cars.
A good condition Morris 8 will be about 5k, if you want the best out there then about 7or8k will be required , i will pay top money to get the best available. The swallow would cost over 10k maybe 15k for the best, but it was a rare car when new so difficult to get a good one now.
The Minor is for sale at Ł5750 at the mo & its the rarer ohc engine its a 1931 & is 76years old but the cable brakes put me off , hydraulics were fitted from 1933.

My Cossie is as fast as they get but I am still interested in these old cars with a Topspeed of around 40mph on a good day. . Before the MOT started around 1960 these old cars filled the roads & youngsters modded Austin 7's today that would be an RST no difference just a different age. Over night 90% were forced off the road because they had no chance of an mot, remember my old man drivin his 1936 Morris into the scrap yard & leaving it there with dozens of others. Im going to see if I can find a picture of it .

All cool cars, one of our customers restores that sort of thing but they are seriously expensive when done.
That BDA powered one is insane The wheels alone are super cool

Easy peeps! fucking hell!
Was just saying, IMO, they have no style, slow as hell, look silly with skinny tyres etc. bit to "posh" car enthusiast for me. Depends on what era you were brought up in i suppose.

A group of us raced to London each Friday night, held the record Tadley to A11 61miles in 59 minutes & that included 16miles of the North Circular, try it today take 3 hours. Even when the Speed Limit came in they had no way of inforcing it no cameras or Radar. Great days to be young & own a modified car. Today its a total Nightmare, REST assured lads I dont envy your youth the 1960's RULE OK.
