Now, do I take it or when I went for a job @ npower, I was unsuccessful but do I want the team leader role

I can see it now, me getting kicked because my team who will obv be a bunch of muppets and coming in late and not doing their job as they should, will be a case of me sacking the lot or getting kicked in the ass myself

But am VERY excited at this new opportunity in software asset management, and think that is going to be the choice, albeit NOT on my doorstep.
