Other than contrasting views/religions i don't see the issue here. Sure we all disagree and think its silly but remember this is NOT our land. People come here all the time, Asians/Muslims, Polish, Indians, Pakistanis and we are the first to moan about them not trying to adapt to our ways, language, culture and flag.

If we go over there then we should respect what they do whatever it is, only fair. I've seen countless people on here moaning as have i because we don't like it. What's the difference?

I take it you've not heard the news this morning about nativity plays being cancelled, or, turned into non-religious plays

I am not religious in the slightest, but, british people who are, in their own country, can't even practice their religion in the open anymore All in the name of political correctness

This is very interesting, I wonder if anything would be done if "another" religion were to host a play celebrating their beliefs. I'm not religious but my son used to believe in god, until he was force fed that other religion that we all fear so much, now he has chosen not to believe in any gods or religion, I complained to the school that he wasn't learning about Christianity(there was nothing about it in his course work) and was accused of being racist against Muslims

Religion should have no place in education, and kids should certainly not be separated on the grounds of their religion. Can you imagine the uproar if someone opened a school only for white kids, or only for black kids? No-one on either side would stand for it, but we're all OK using religion as the divider?

If parents want their kids to celebrate a faith, they should take on the responsibility to educate their offspring themselves, not entrust it to educators or people already absorbed in a particular mindset.

Interesting, but religion still has a place in schools in a historical context.

The problem is how it is portrayed, and whether it is honest and without bias. Christian schools showing the Crusades as God spreading christianity instead of a load of bloody and brutal wars would be a little pointless.

there are still people in america who belive that machinery is the work of the devil and who dismiss evoltionary theory and they send their kids to brainwashing schools without a problem

as the guru said to the muslim when he was scolded for point his feet at a mosque (god) "you may point my feet in any direction that god does not exist"

I know what you're saying mate and there's a lot of shit over here that needs sorting out but that's another debate. Assuming we expect people to do as we do and live by our rules over here then you have to respect what other countries do in theirs, agree or not. If not don't go there.

We'd have to let them get on with it in the interest of integration, political correctness, not upsetting the apple cart, yaddi yaddi yadda.....

I am all for everyone wanting to do/believe what they want, but not stopping others from doing or believing in what they want to in the process.

Anyone's freedom stops where it starts to intrude on other people's freedom
