The ABS system on S2s is slightly different and nowhere near as good as most other, modern ABS systems.

People disconnect them because for use on track [or fast road use] you're actually better off without it.

Doesn't help you getting it fixed though.

It's pretty simple and any auto electrician that's any good should be able to get it working again in no time.

he sed he will have to take dash off to see wot other wire is missing then he can see if he can just connect to make the abs illuminate when key is turned regardless wether abs is actually working. other wise it would cozt over 500 to put whole new system in

Perhaps connect to oil pressure light, bodge to get through mot, and give you time to get it sorted.

Lamp not illuminating is part of the braking system being faulty, so fail

Often "if there it's gotta work" applies

Depends on how well you know the tester of course

The S2 ABS is not electrical its mechanical if I remember right. The ABS light comes on when the handbrake is engaged & goes out when released. Its more to notify the driver that ABS is fitted not to warn if its not working as the Cossie system does.

As said above get the rest of the ABS removed & then it'll pass. Its because at the moment you have neither a car with ABS or one without. Can't blame the MOT station for that. The car has to be road worthy.

Simple fix the two wires that are in the yellow plug for the ABS pumps just join the wires together and hey presto the lamp will illuminate as it should.

Should of added & get the bulb wired up so it works. I always wanted rid of the ABS on my S2. Its rubbish.
