Default Wales Rally GB

I take it no-one else went to the Start Ceremony this evening then judging by the lack of posts on here

Will try and get some pics up later

Had Colin McRae's Impreza (L555 BAT?) come through, driven by Jimmy McRae Lots of classic rally cars to celebrate the events' 75th Birthday this year.

Definitely a huge presence of Focus WRCs, must have been about 10 for the 3 or so Imprezas there were. Didn't see any Evos at all until well down the starters.

Petter Solberg is a legend though

EDIT: Pics

gave my two weekend passes out to my mates and am trying to get some more so they could take their kids. I may go on sunday just for a drive tho.

Also, need to try and get a media car pass so I can drive right up to the stage like last year

My dads a radio marshal for the whole event. Spends more time videoing the cars than actually doing any work though

Would love to go one year, I just think that it's too much of a tall order for Marcus now!

Look at Hamilton in F1, had a non points scoring finish right near the end of the championship and it cost him bad, I think the same will happen for Marcus

Err... coverage on www.wrc.com!!! They have a "rally radio" link in the side bar too - live stage end comments from drivers, some interviews in the service park and some dreadful DJ'ing. Worth a listen if you're really keen but (like me) can't get there cos of work.

Day one roundup on Eurosport at 1030 pm tonight.

Pics are up now...shame it killed some of the quality resizing them.

Anyone know where the TV coverage is? I managed to catch Ralio on S4C, but being English found it was mostly lost on me Anything decent on BBC/ITV/SKY?
