Default 8.5 compression rate for 2wd Saph! (on 803's)

Hi,

my new rebuild block comes on a compression rate of 8.5 to 1
Can i run on 803's without problems??

And are there cometic multi layer headgaskets with a compressed thickness more than 0.7 mm??

Re the CR, I say yes....

Providing, you run it on high quality high octane fuel and have it live mapped properly.

There may be an upper boost limit lower than normal but than highly depends
on the rest of the engine and components, turbo etc...

mine is near standard c/r run 30psi spike tailing to 27psi midrange down to 23psi at 7k rev limiter so yes but as said live map a must

Standard CR is 8.0:1 not 8.5:1

9:1 would be ok on greens but you defo need a live map for it

i would trust on ofthe shelf with comp that high

if you did buy an off the shelf chip for it with 8.5.1 comp the turbo exhaust housing might start glowing on tickover

waste of time bogging it mate it will only end in tears
