if i can use this turbo http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Garrett-GT3582...QQcmdZViewItem

it should bolt straight on .82 rear housing with my 500 wastegate housing. as far as i understand it my exhaust will be fine and il be running internal gate still.

ive realised 600 max is more realistic maybe a bit less but if everything is working to its full potential 600 may be just possible even if it made 570 i wouldnt be to sad

I have seen 3 or 4 2wd exhaust manifols off the car and none hand any kind of carbon build ups that would effect flow.

It would be alot easier to buy an engine already tuned by a professional, sell your old engine and it would probably cost you less.

Buttttt
If I was you, i would spend it on a proper kick ass chassis like wrc rear end 8 pots etc, and get a real buzz by going round corners, FAST!

Even if you did get 600hp dont think the car would make 12-13k with a home built engine.. Personally I would want to see reciepts from a tuner for all the work.. that way at least you know it has some chance of lasting more than 5 mins.

If you have a genuine 480 BHP how can that not be fast enough now??

have to agree, unless for topspeed runs, company advertising or mines is bigger than yours then 480 is plenty.
i never thought that 500bhp wasnt enough!

Nitrous

Atleast for just over a grand you could find out how much hp your engine can handle

Its as safe as fitting a big turbo, except its a fuck lot cheaper.

Downsides are obviously that the nitrous doesn't last forever

You can have it activating by tps, microswitch on the throttle or a button in the car (if your brave)

You can activate it whenever you like so if you just wanted it in 4th and 5th then thats when you activate it.

You would also use a controller ( known as maximiser ) which allows you to setup the nitrous much finer, start % over x amount of seconds is a basic feature which alone combats wheelspin.

See if MadRod can post his timed acceleration runs up, off gas and on gas

There is quite a lot to it if your going get really serious with it but the basics are quite easy to grasp.

hes not saying 600bhp for 5k he wants as near to 600bhp as poss from the spec hes already got wich is already 480hp so why do people think its so hard and expensive to get an extra 100hp why start again when his engine has only done 2k fuck me as long as he puts the right bits on it and gets it properly mapped whats wrong with that?id personaly do it a better route with better components but if you need to achieve something on a budget then so be it its up to the individual
