Default An overdue Topic. Welcome to Motorsport Developments....

BIG WILL 85.

I have had a few staffing issues since Nick left us after 6 years and moved onto building Fighter Planes And after having issues with staff and them meeting our high expectations, i decided that this time anyone who applied would have to do a working interview for a few weeks.

I heard Will was between Jobs and decided to call him up and see if he was interested after hearing good things of his workmanship at BARR Honda and RC Developments.. it was very sad news to find out he lived some 2+hrs away in BRADFORD!

Still, Will was up for some negotiaition and he drove across for an interview and stayed the day to help us get some work done and see how we all got on as a team together.

After a great interview and a hard days work, Will agreed to do his 3 weeks trial and booked himself a hotel at his own cost for 3 weeks and cracked on with work whilst living in a strange town and knowing nobody. That in itself showd great commitment to the job.

Well, the rest is history now as Will has proved himself more than capable of Running the workshop in the manner we are acustomed to and is able to provide the level of workmanship that customers have come to expect from my business, so after naming his, quite frankly, extortionate hourly rate to relocate to Blackpool, I am pleased to announce that Will has been with us properly for over 3 weeks now as our workshop manager and he is a pleasure to work with.

I am looking forward to some good times Will and our future plans include you doing some rather interesting things, and they wont all be crappy like todays TVR Chimera or tomorrows Distributor removal on that RS200.

So as from Today, Will is now officially known as Will @ M Developments.

Which at least goes some way to softening your extortionate hourly rate. At least you work hard for it. Id have sworn you wouldnt get that done before you went home.

it would probably been an easier ride as well for me although having been involved in the late nites, in fact i mean FOOKIN LATE NIGHTS ! then maybe i'll stay a paying rather than a being paid

although would be a fookin great job - and you have needed a great manager in that workshop for a good while freeing you and kenny up to market the business and run the non hands on side like i do

all i can say stu is speculate to accumulate we have 6 staff now all working around our 'other' business

The dizzy wasn't pleasant but was certainly less of a mission than those plugs on that TVR

Stu - "Plugs out on that for lunch will?" (Lunch being 20 mins away)
Me - "Yep. Lunch tomorrow."

Good on you trying it out for 3 weeks away from home. You have to put something in to get something back these days. Shows true commitment.

Sounds like it has been rewarded
