Skeg, you clearly dont think things through do you?

If scotland gets nuked then the gov loses 49billion quid a year in revenue.
So guess who get to cover that cost in petrol increases?? you english people!!

Why dont they cut down on benefits?

79 BILLION a year goes to benefit claimers!! If every person who could get a job. had theirs stopped right now then you could easily half that figure! Theres a nice saving so you could take 15p off fuel tax.

ps. 73 BILLION a year goes to education!!

thats right. 6 Billion a year more goes to workshy people than on your kids future!!

the future is brown, the future is shit!

get more fuel efficient vehicles - that is the intention of the tax increases. motorcycles are the answer to the country's problems

but that's the easy way for the government to try and meet emissions targets. it would be more difficult to educate drivers on how to drive more smoothly, drive in the correct lane etc and reduce congestion and emissions that way

Ive put buying a new car since the fuel increase, Shame as I had just managed to get enough cash to by a nice Cosworth or MK1 Escort.

Seriously reassessing things now.... think its probably going to be a small modern Diesel i buy now.

But that said ive made do without a car for the last few months altogether, bit of a pain at times but ive saved so much money
