Very pleased with mine, along with lots of other people.

You won't be dissapointed!

Leave your gauges in.

Paul Ripley

but can they be clased as the same as the Collins/Pectel monitors.

thought the latter ones did more than the SECS monitors.

i might be wrong.

The only problem with the gauges is that they are mounted in the dash where the SECS will fit and i have a late beak dash. So i dont know where else i can fit my gauges as i dont want a pillar pod.

Any suggestions???

on the collins monitor you can separate the lcd from the controls, the escos in the latest edition of fast ford has it in the banana pod for example

Taken from Collins web site

The Powerchips engine monitor has been developed to be used in conjunction with Ford Cosworth Powerchips chip upgrades. The monitor is available as a standard version and also as a professional version. The monitor displays real-time engine management parameters. These include;

Does this mean you need a Collins powerchip for this to work.

Why do you need a Collins chip, it reads the signal, the protocol sent from the ECU.. I run one on a P8 with no ecu modifications done by collins and a chip not mapped by or provided by collins

I didnt explain properly....IIRC collins told me that it is similiar to a pectel monitor so will work on a p8 fine.
If you have a L1 or L6 as most 3dr's and sapphires do,then you need a collins baby board or chip to make it run.

regards mark
