i sent an email to a company today that sells number plates & got this reply;

im not clued up about this at all, so would i get a grand in my hand if it sold thruogh them? & do you think it would sell fast?

anybody done it before? & is there anyplace that would just buy it off me instead of me waiting till it sold?

Is that what you want or is that what they offered? If theyve offered to return you that tell them you want £1400 for it...

they never offerd me that but say thats how much they'll give me if it sells but id rather just sell it outright to a company rather than wait till somebody wants it realy, as im sure there are companys out there that do that is there not??

There aren't any companies that will buy your plate. (Not that I could find anyway!)
I bought an old shitter a couple of years ago that had a private plate on it I thought might be worth a few quid (the car wasn't!).
That email you got looks very familiar.

All I can say is - dont hold your breath. I still havent had an offer for the plate - and I havent had the car for 18 months. Probably weighed in by now anyway!

Well i offered one to regtransfers, they came back saying they;ll advertise it for sale and return £600,, i said i wanted 1k,, it sold within 2 weeks..

I think Cola sold her number plate like this too - got GOOD money IIRC
