will the times be in the mag will give a good indication of how the big hitters compare, maybe the winners will enter Time Attack & win that for Ford.

Im only presuming its due to the shell being changed so much from stock.
Roger clark subura is still basically a 4x4 subaru just with uprated parts etc.
what a shite rule though andrew, you have just built what ford should have.
Be excellant if you get a chance to enter. keep hassling them, when are you getting the x-sport goodies underway.

Andrew is it not to do with you running a space frame front end?
I think someone posted the rules for entry on here not so long ago and it stated that cars running space frames where ineligable(sp?)

Kevs car is almost starting from scratch, he was fast enough to win Club last year but the standard will be much higher next.
You think you can win, well get your car within the rules & have a bash, saying you can win aint the same as actually doing it.

it does say in the rules no tube chassis depends what you class as chassis
its definatey not a complete tube chassis.
i'm sure fen sport ceilica has had the front cross member replaced with tube to acomadate for intercooler etc. that could be classed as part tube chassis

I can see the point as it could end up like silhouettes (get a rear engine car say a Hillman Imp & fit it over a F1 car if the rules say the engine has to be in the same place it would be legal). But I would not say Andys is a space framed car as I think it has still got its floor pan & you could say that a full cage that is tied into the suspension points is a space framed car as the car could stand on its own without the factory body. There best way to sort it would be to say the cars have to retain the factory chassis then if Andy could some how put the front chassis legs back on the car they would just have to be there & say the front end tubes are part of the cage.Or just point out the front end was to assist the engine conversion & does not have any benefit over any car with a full cage
I personally think it was set up for the Japanese tuning seen & they don't want Fords up front. Isn't it supposed to be for modified cars

From Time attack web site:
2 Vehicle Body Type
2-1. Vehicles must retain the original chassis/body and if the chassis/body is to be altered in any way the alterations must be submitted for pre-approval to the Time Attack technical.
2-2. No tube frame vehicles or tube frame chassis extensions are permissible unless part of the OEM structure as defined in points 1-1 to 1.5. Space frame chassis are not permitted, additional triangulation and bracing of suspension turret/mounting points is allowed and as long as the modifications do not break condition 2-7.
2-3. Vehicles must retain their original VIN (chassis number) and original plate.
2-4. The VIN must valid for the chassis it is attached to.
2-5. The VIN plate must be clearly visible and readable.
2-6. Vehicles which have soft roofs, i.e. convertible, must have a hard top installed and a roll cage which will be effective in the event of a vehicle rolling onto its roof. The hard top must be securely fastened to the body.
2-7. Vehicles appearance must be similar to that of the original vehicle.
Hope that helps

On the Time attack at Brands that was shown on Motors TV someone in a white Tshirt & goaty beard said more or less its about the Japanese tuning seen in the UK even though there are non Japanese cars here.I just check it as I have it on tape I think there is no real differance between Norris & Andys cars & they should both be in it.We are all aloud our views I also like to see it be owner driver or at least an employee of the company that built the car not professional race drivers bought in,even different ones for different races.
I would like to think its a step for people between track daying & going into a race series how many people would love to compere there track times its not much different to hillclimping & sprints but on race tracks
