Default Booze Cruisers

all you booze cruizers that go over to france
I have a few questions I'm hoping I can get some light shed on
never done it before
but I'm thinking it would be good to stock up for christmas and also christmas shopping at the same time i.e. everyone gets alcohol for christmas

would want to go there and back in a day
tunnel or ferry? is ferry cheapest?
where to go when in france? any websites with tomtom POI's?
what's the allowances for 2 adults
any other tips?

thank you

never again will 'i just nip to france for some beer'

last time we got stranded on a ferry in calais for 23 hours due to bad weather, they would not let us off the ferry and people were going mad.

after 23hrs they 'attempted' a crossing !

that was some fairground ride !

you could hear the plates smashing in the galley below.

dover - dunkirk is cheapest i think, takes about 15 mins longer but i thought norfolkline ferries were much nicer and dunkirk ferry port is easy too imo. so makes no odds to me.

never done a booze run tbh but theres a cash and carry on the way out of dunkirk on the left before you get on the A16. im sure 10 mins googling will bring up shitloads in the area though.

Havent been for years (5/6)

for shops , head to the euro centre, i think its called that, like a shoping mall but french.

to be honest nothings cheeper tho, clothes, electrical stuff etc.

the beer and spirits were a simular price to here, if you shop around, tescos, asda, costco deal etc or go to a cash and carry

wine was cheep, tho i dont drink wine, but was asked to bring back something red about 15pounds in offies gere, but a few euros there.

limits unlimited as long as its for personal use, you need to go out of the EU for deals these days

No point in going any more beer is cheaper in tesco than over there, i also brought a friend a bottle of brandy and it cost £18 Asda were doing a special for £14 that week

If you are going to stock up on general shopping items then there is bargains to be had but remember the rate is shite at the moment aswell 1.32 to your £1 sterling and you have to travel there with crossing and fuel cost is it really worth it
