If your under 25, STA travel by a MILE!!!!!!!!! I paid £480 return,and had 2 days in Japan too!!!!

STA travel as the lad said....

Cheapest airlines are china airlines or air china, emirates, malaysian airlines etc but singapore airlines( recommneded) have good offers now and then so do qantas.

They specialise in student travel but i think they still do flights for all ages agood prices. Under 25's get bigger discounts and a discount card.....

Get on the blower then, Singapore are not cheapest but excellent airline, its a long enuff flight without going on the cheap nasty airlines like China Air - i paid £650 5 year ago 11month in advance, my brother got on same flight booking last minute and paid £1200

I agree id pay the extra few quid for SQ... They are a great airline and Singapore is a good stopover

emirates..not the cheapest but one of the best..i take this flight a few times a year and emirates are good.

i flew with them 2yrs ago.. £630 via dubai.. one tip is get a 2 stop flight, even if its just half an hour in an airport to stretch your legs, it makes a hell of a difference

opodo - Glasgow - sydney £906 on 1st Sept 08 - 28th Sept 08 Qantas

opodo London Heathrow - Sydney , same dates £830 etihad airways

Airline network Heathrow - sydney same dates £780 emirates

all per adult

Obviously connections to london from Glasgow around £70 return


I fly out on 30th November for 3 weeks
I booked in January , flying Cathay Pacific

1. London to Hong Kong
2. Hong Kong to Sydney
3. Sydney to London
£2368.80

CCC £47.38

Total £2416.18
I was around £300 for BMI returns to Glasgow
