couple of the lads were sayin in work that they have tryed cooking a steak in the oven, he pan fried it for 1 min each side (just a quick spray of frylight) then put it on a plate in the oven for XXmins (forget how long) but they said it come out as the blood was kept inside the steak when oven cooked because of the quick fry in the pan.

Not really a fan of plain steak
Imo it taste's a lot better cooked in gravy in the oven
I even think a bit of tomato in the gravy makes it fucking loverly

Pan needs to be FUCKING HOT with oil/butter/whatever you want to use (i prefer extra virgin oil) add crushed pepper/seasoning of your choice..

Me personally, heat the pan up like a motherfucker (get it smoking!) then sear one side for 1.5mins, flip and sear the other for 1.5mins, on a plate cover with tin foil, sit for 7mins, and when it comes out, it's juicey as fuck, just a little bit pink in the middle, and fucking FUCKING tasty
cheers for the tips thrush

i always ruin my steaks gonna give this i wurl at the weekend

Can't believe I'm getting cooking tips from passionford. And from Thrush!
Hey sweetie! Long time no speak!

I slap it on a plate and cover with tin foil (ie, wrap the plate) Warm plate helps, but I've not ever bothere to stick in a warm oven.. I guess you could, but I reckon you'd induce TOO much moisture inside it - with it just inside the tin foil, it produces it's own moisture to keep it tender
