And it been removed after I guess I put on a link to a site that takes the hard work out of searching for what you are looking for on newsgroups

I also GUESS it cos some dumb mod thinks newsgroups are only there for downloading of copyrighted material not that in actuality they are there for people to share NEWS and info and ANYTHING they want

It like removing a post cos I say "if you press down with your right foot on the accelerator you CAN make your car go faster"

OR if you want to find info on a subject type "GOOGLE" into your browser, cos that all I gave a link to was a search engine for information, NEWS related if you like

Yeah I do get tired of all these torrent threads etc being deleted. Go ahead and delete em if someone openly says they want to/will do/etc download a copyrighted (is that even a word?) material like a film or something, but torrent programmes are not illegal to use or have. Right now I have my uTorrent turned on, and am downloading my mates holiday photo's and video's from him. Why? Cos it's quicker than sending via MSN or the like, and quicker than him having to upload them all to a file sending site in several goes (as most only allow 100mb or 150mb max)... Nowt illegal or immoral in that at all.....

Demonoid on the other hand They might have had a few copyrighted files on there at one point

Demonoid was great not because it had more content than public torrent sites as it didn't but because of how registration was restricted and people on there were decent who would only upload good files. On top of that the comments would confirm if it worked well or not. It cut out all the shite, ISohunt etc are good but i've lost count the amount of fake films or programs i've had on there. People even 'try' to copy the file names of the big film uploaders like Axxo so people will download their shit.

Plus Demonoids links would spread to the public sites which would speed up the downloads. However those that got it from Isohunt would be taking the risk if it was good file or not as their forum isn't the best and anyone can upload.

Stupid music companies trying to squeeze out every last penny. They don't realise a lot of people (including myself) have purchased proper albums, t shirts and concert tickets as a result of downloading a few songs illegally.

I'm just glad all of us downloading around the world has contributed to forcing them to cut the prices of albums, i remember when a decent rock album was about £14-£16.99 in HMV. A joke. These record company agencies also target sites that have guitar tab files where as they see tab books or videos as another source of income, again squeezing more money out of people. Poor kids just trying to learn their favourite songs.

Hopefully the site will be back as i got my tomtom and Route66 for my N95 off there.
