Update on Pulsar if your interested?!
Don't look like its the headgasket...
Im hoping its the water pipes as there was alot of water marks in the engine bay, as if something has burst and sprayed it everywhere...
Who knows heads gone for crack testing and skimming, so will know more soon, I hope.
Some pictures of the headgasket - tbh, It looks fine
and how it stands at the moment
Not impressed
So whos gonna "crack" the first sarky comment

Was wondering about this earlier..
If the head has cracked it must be from an airlock or something..
If you say there was some spray marks of water at the back it may be that one of those hoses went (as they are tricky cnuts to see under the plenum there) and air lock insued causing damage.
If it is the head you'll be able to get another easily from one of the guys on GTROC or on ebay for little cash.
If this is the case I'd get the samco water hoses for the back of the engine as you stand next to no chance of getting them on any other time

I think it might be the bottom hose front passenger side tbh with the way the water marks are on the bonnet , or the other rad I put on

Technically the GTIR SR20 is incredibly strong, i mean MEGA strong, more so than the 200SX SR20, and even thats happy to do 450bhp on standard internals on pump fuel.
So you cant blame it for being a shit engine at least.
Been unlucky i guess.

I got mine off a Sunny, I now have a different shaded glass...
Becasue am I fuck! Paying Ł220 for a 'bronze tint' shade pane of glass
I plan on selling the other passenger one and get a normal blue tint one for the other side.... Might look ok then

That gasket looks fucked and it looks like I can see blow by marks on the block too.
The gasket fire rings and the head and block also chould be clean all round the bore/sealing faces of the fire rings and not have blackened. if they have, gasses have been blowing passed the fire rings.

always a good reason why the water system is heating up/overpressurising, the combustion gasses being foreced past the fire rings, would explain the 2 rads you fucked as well Radders ..... I recon a new gasket, skim of the head to flatten it and it will be fine ... hope it comes back uncracked

Yes.
Using a clock type reference to positions, it looks like it's been blowing on cylinder 1 between 2 o'clock and5 o'clock, cylinder 2 between 6 and 10 o'clock and at 3 o'clock, cylinder 3 at 9 oclock and 3 o'clock and cylinder 4 between 6 and 9 o'clock.
