Default CB radios - anyone got one?

Is there still much traffic on CB nowadays? trucks and taxis and the like?

Does anyone knwo what band the police are using nowadays (just for interest

Are the handhelds any good, or do you really need a huge external ariel to get a decent range?

Cheers

LOL, my cb still works.

No one uses it any more in my area except for a few truckers that pass through my town.

As for side band, the italians are still king, not many english speaking
contacts these days.

I use it now mainly to crash the toy helicopter of the neighbours

If you just want to listen, buy a scanner, you can listen to everything then.
