sounds a bit daft but see when nailing it my car has started to do that banging up and down off the mark rather than screeching the tyres to fuck

it sounds/feels like the wheel bouncing up and down in the arch rather than planting 2 black lines??????????????/

ive got a full set of rear polyushes to go on+just fitted new coilovers

whats your views?bushes?

on my old rst tubo it started to do it when i had the tracking done and got decent new tyres on it before it just used to light the tyres up and not really do it.i put it down to a bit more grip or tryes fitting for grip more as handle as still ok so not like a bush and suspension was all new and still took a beating everyday so didnt seem to be clutch or diff or gearbox as id have thougt they would have destroyed themselves if it was?
maybe you just got more grip now too

i'd say tyres too. They have far too much grip to spin properly, no momentum in the car to get it going, so the only way the wheel can go is up!!!

i know it probably sounds stupid but thats only thing i could explain it on the turbo.and it deffo had much more grip in dry and the wet i know its totally different on a rwd car so who knows?
who set up your coilovers anyway.was it just your mechanic?or you had it to clcm

I would say the new dampers are set too soft letting it squat more than before and loosing traction, try firming it up and see what happens.

just meant from before the fooking tyres and tracking were done.

Tramp tastic, assuming bushes are ok this is your problem. Turn them up one click at a time untill it stops. I lunched a diff through tramp on really soft dampers.

could also be worn trailing arm bushes....as staffi said, get a rose jointed beam, or new standard ford bushes in there

My saph used to do this !

Chucked a diff out the rear cos it aswell !

I'd go wit the dampers too, cos I stiffened mine up on the rear & checked the tyres (one tyre was almost flat ) & she was fine after that !

Get the bushes fitted too !

Check the rear diff mount bush, if it's fucked, the diff will rock back and forth in the rubber. This is what the poly diff mounts are for .

And if the diff mount is on the weak/worn side DONT fit a welded diff cos it'll kill the mount in minutes ! ! ! I didn't do that either !

just to add..dont fit polybushes to the rear arms....you might think you are doing upgradings but you will be doing downgradings

standard ford spherical bearings only for rear arms

hmm mine bangs at the rear sometimes maybe i will fit one of these uprated diff bushes do they come ready to fit?i.e unbolt rear mount,bolt up new one??where u get them from?

because there is no way a piece of injection moulded plastic can keep the rear arms where they should be as well as a high quality OE spherical joint

polybushes are ok for some applications...just not cosworth rear arms

Suspension wise I think my 'grp A' diff hanger is one of the best mods ive done.....huge improvement over the blomonge effort that Ford gave us

no those are the ones in the rear beam, the polybushes are a good upgrade for those, not too bad to fit once you cut the old ones out get a lenth of m12 threaded rod and screw it into the bolt hole , shove a block of wood between thebeam and chassis leg , lube the bush up well and slide bush up the rod chuck a couple of big washers on it then tighten a nut up on the rod and the bush will pull /pop into place
