What do you make of this
This mother of 2 newborns needed a blood transfusion but her religion said no and she died.....
The doctors even asked her husband if he could overrule it and he said no, she will have to die...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From my observations and experience, religion caused more hurt in the world than individual comfort.
I think in years to come as sience gets to know more and can explain the universe and so on we will look back and think "what a bunch of idiots following a religion." Imo the only good thing it has given us is a moral code to follow.
However, It is every individuals right to believe in what they wish, so in this case we can only offer our own opinion.
It is a sad waste though.

Religion IS needed in our society though.
Your stranded in the middle of nowhere, you're losing blood, there's a plane circling above you trying to find you. If you don't surface within 3 minutes the plane will fly away and you will be deamed lost. You find you're stuck under a large branch and don't have the strength to move it. You also know if you don't move quick the local villagers will torture you and kill you.
Who you going to ask for help? I gaurantee anyone in our christian religion anyway, would ask for help from God.
Harsh and massive odds circumstance but it puts it into perspective.
On another note, I think that their religion in general is a load of shit.
