Default why do cossie give u joy then pain!!update 10/11/07

just had my car set up on 400's at nms 30psi peak dropping to 27psi in mid range down to 23psi at rev limiting and dont mind saying she goes very well top set up

how ever she is now lost abit of coolant and i have got the dreaded stains down the block under the exhaust, she does not over heat no smoke etc but then again it wont as it a coopers O ring headgasket so the rings will never fail just the other part that does and looks like it has gone again for the second time!!!bloody hell why do they do this to us

if its long studded block, and it probably is using a coopers ring gasket, you need to check the torque on the studs every 2k.

Mine didn't smoke, nothing except a bit of coolant loss and using a little bit of oil, but no more than you would expect . If it has cracked where they normally do, the bolt holes in the middle of the block, the combustion pressures stop anything entering the cylinder, all you get is slight coolant loss and sometimes the temp raises slightly, but only if you hold it flat in 5th for ages...... Hope it isn't cracked fella, but 205 blocks don't take kindly to serious power ....

I would use brake cleaner to get the stains off, this stuff shifts anything. Just watch your paint work.
