In which case, Fiddy set them to 38/34 and see what you think. Adjust accordingly.

Thats will definitely wear tyres out prematurly....

Use your head... drive at that pressure in the rain then drop it to what i recommend and i guarantee your grip will improve.

Incidentally i've owned a 400hp 4x4 cos for 3 years, 380hp evo 6 for 1.5 years and a BMW M3 for half a year, also driven 30k miles a year in various other cars for the past 8 years and never had a problem... so care to explain how i'll end up in a barrier???

Wouldnt say 28-30 is dangerous, lol, maybe a bit low, but no fucking way dangerous!

More for track? Other way round if anything IMO as if you check tyre pressure when hot (ie a track caning) its much higher.

Ive put 36 in the front, and 35 in the back, tyres arnt over inflated, still some give in them, and it seems to drive ok, so does that seem ' safe ' in everyones opinion ?.

Most ive ever ran was 70psi by the way.

You get a contact patch about an inch thick from a 205 wide tyre Looks like someone has been doing burnouts with a bmx

I've got the same car as you & run 34psi all round. Thats been fine for me but we don't go 4up or do over 100MPH all that often.

tyre pressures dont go on the size of the wheels or tyres! it goes on the weight of the vehicle! and most of them are differant... normal small car is usually 28-30 and a family sized car is 30-36..
best thing to do is check the owners manual, door way, or filler cap.. usually stickers in these places..

I run 32psi on the st and did on my golf, both on 18's.

On the track i run between 8 and 12 psi depending on which corner.
