tesco car parks
more specificly, the one in yeading
went there the other day and parked in the parent toddler space and went inside, as you do
came back out a few miniutes later to get juniors bag because he needed a nappy change and there was one of them people carrier things parked next to mine with 3 trolley loads of shopping waiting to be unloaded into it
and i'm glad i cameout when i did beacuse one of these trolleys was being weilded by a little 4 year old wh had no control over it whatsoever
so i waited till it got just a little bit too lcose to be comfortable to my door and bliped the locks to let them know i was coming
one of the mothers immidiatly grabbed the trolley from the child and pulled it away from my motor
i gave a bit of a glaring look before parking the car somewhere else
i've never had this problem in sainsburys so my question is, do tesco attract the chav element of society where they have so much shopping they can't even fit it into thir own cars to take home?
and, if the trolley would have hit my car, what could i have done about it?

so all that for someone nearly hitting your car with a trolley, and the woman was sensible enough to take control of the trolley over the child before it happened
file a 'near miss' report

there's never been, as far as i am aware, an answer to the hold "someone pushes a trolley into the side of your car in a car park" question as to who you would blame, complain to, get repairs done through
the fact that chavtastic yeading tesco's car parks is where these incidents tend to take place normally is the only other thing to consider (being would the chavs actually have a job in order to pay for the repairs )
i normally go to sainsburys anyway
the rest of my family think i'm always way to paranoid about any car that i drive and so have always asked me to drive a shitter so it won't matter where i park

yep I'm with you on this one, people in general are fuckwits only the other day I was parked in Fosse Park in Leicester awaiting the wifes return and I saw a people carrier pull into the space infront of me the woman got out and whacked her door into the car next to her, she didn't even glance around
car parking spaces in general are not wide enough, add to that the average british retard and you have doors full of dings all over the country.
As a general rule I always park as far away as possible from the entrance of where I am going as we all know most people can't stomach the mamoth undertaking of walking from the far end of the car park, I then take 2 spaces for myself this as a general rule appears to work

You would'nt be able to do anything, due to the sign that will be with out doubt screwed to a wall in the carpark somewhere that states 'owners cars left at their own risk'. I find the same problem whilst Im out shopping at Harrods ....it seems to attract some of the regular Sainsburys shopping chav scum at christmas, some of them dont even have their own staff to push the trolly for them...they parade around the place dress in some rather obscure atire that they proberbly bought off a 'geeza in a pub', it really lowers the tone of the whole shopping experience. In fact next time something like this happens i will endevor to drive straight home, log into Passionford and tell you all about it

Doesn't matter where you go you will ALWAYS get someone like this.
Btw, just wondering why you called them chavs? You gave no reference to how they were dressed or how they acted in general, plus you said "ONE of the mothers", which to me means that 4 kids over two mums doesn't really make them chavs: unless there was a mum & daughter and the daughter was the one with the 4 kids, they were all dressed in burberry with matching caps and handbags and the kids were called Jordan, Peter, Chelsea and Tequila.

and you ask if the chav element is generalised to Tesco's nationwide - could it possibly be the chav element in question could be localised to your area? Have you had this same problem in the majority of Tesco carparks across the nation? If no, then I can't see your argument?

All the same IMO this is the reason why we never use parent parking bay's , altho we wont leave the car on it's own in a supermarket car park my husband whilst waiting for me saw a bloke pull up in a car swing the door open and make a right mess on someones car ,he then shut the door quickly and drove off i have seen normal one trolley parent's let there kid's wheel them about , and i have a job to control one of them thing's never mind a child in charge of one

if you think chavs shop at tesco does that make you a chav for going there
all supermakrets are the same mate, no matter where you go
easiest thing to do, park your car the other end to the shop front and have a walk, as most people want to get as close to the front as poss for ease

It's one of the perks of being a parent - Being able to park in those wide bays! It reduces the chance of doors being slammed into the side of your car.
And I really don't think that the brand of supermarket dictates the likelihood of your car being damaged. It's just pot luck.

Liz here,
I work for Tesco and they dont attract the chav element that is why they are the number one supermarket in the country going from 5th to 1st in my humble opinion that in british business is a fantastic achievement, Tesco customers come from all demographic categories and appiele to all shoppers. This sounds like a one off incident and there is nothing Tesco can do to stop someone having uncontrolable children. Sorry for the rant but have a think at the question its the parent not the supermarket.

Anyone remember the post about those of us that do this, park in P&T spaces, from a few months ago?

As for when I was a kid, sure I misbehaved, but if I did it in a supermarket then I'd soon get a swift clip round the ear and stop it. Its a shame a few parents these days don't try the same.

KregRS your comment about me on the shop floor is laughable i am a marketing manager looking after 200+ stores your obviously uneducated to think that any business can do anything about someone else's kids maybe you missed the memo you cannot do anything or say anything to other peoples kids without either getting in trouble or a slap. have a think
