Default MOT & Tax Question

Ok My car needs Tax but before that it needs an MOT, my question is am I legally allowed to drive it to MOT station or am i gonna have to get it picked up?

think you can drive it but it has got to be booked in at the mot station

I know thats the case if the car has no MOT but was wondering if it was still the case if the car has no tax

Your allowed to drive to a pre-booked mot and your also allowed to drive home afterwards or to a place of repair/scrapping.

oh i dunno then mate, think it should be the same as you carnt tax a car without an mot might be wrong tho buddy

as long as your booked in and you go by the most direct route it does not matter

And print it off & take it with you in the car. If the police stopped you & gives you a bollocking, show them the print out.

I would'nt bother, the road traffic pigs should know the law anyhows unlike the old beat bobby thats now retiring so he's working off his last few years behind the stations call desk, answering questions from people who have already been answered on here by people who do actualy know their job. The police in general when it comes to mot laws really are clueless...thats why Vosa work with them when they do those road side pull in checks.
