thermostats and fan switches
are they intercahngable throughout 3dr,2wd,4x4,escos?
whats the lowest temp to open on thermostat?? (what car)
Whats highest temp to cut in fans (and again what car?)

no the 4x4 stat is a 2 stage stat , opens up diff internal parts at diff temp ranges !!
the rad fan switches are interchangeable as in will fit in the hole , but , they too vary in range of opening , the early switches had a lower operating range , they came on at a lower temp , the later version ,i.e 4x4 saphire had a higher switch on for the fans as the engine was made to operate at a higher temp , now iirc the late saph has a 2 way switch , to incorporate the aircon control to cool the condensor , the escort cos has a 2 way switch for this very reason !

right what i mean is i want some distance from when thermostat opens fully to when fans cut in, as much as poss really, dont want to take stat out or mod it just want low operating one and fan switch that comes in hi up, am i explaining myself
