ive got a brand new kit was for a 2wd saph,i know the 3-dor has diffrent hubs,as brackets dont fit

am i right need the 3-door brackets??

2wd saph and a 3 door are the same hubs ,so if its a genuine ap kit it should fit ,i sell these kits and they are the same kit for both cars

if you end up with spare 2wd brackets i'll have them mate!

The comp bracket are the same front and rear and your kit must be wrong new or second hand eg from another person not shop ?

right im having greif with these now like

came in the box brand new ap 4 pots,ap 330mm discs,bells bolted on

but ggr mounting brackets(gold alloy) brand new also

weve got the m10 bolts to put the caliper and brackets together but not the m12 ones to bolt bracket to car as the bracket has a recess bit for bolts to fit in exact,hence cant use hex bolts,so im sure i can get these m12 allen bolts no problem

but the 2 things wrong is no shim kit with it and standard washers i tried are 2mm thick and i think they need to be 1-1.2mm thick to sit bang on

and for some really strange reason now that we bolted up temp with hex bolts they dont sit right,the pad over hangs the outer edge of disc by 3mm

all help greatly appreciated

1.1-1.2mm sounds about right for standard washer thickness. If the ones you've got are thicker, see if you've got a thinner 10mm repair washer and can drill it out to suit


Check the clearance between the calipers/pads and the outside of the bell, and the disc/bell mounting bolts. If there is sufficient clearance, and there is enough material on the mounting bracket, get the brackets milled to suit. The pad overhang may be as a result of a mismatch between the caliper recommended disc size and the actual size of the disc you are using (eg if the calipers are for 305mm discs).

thanks mate my mate fitting them says if the brackets put into a machine shop and had 3mm taken off they would fit perfect

but surely they should fit from the off,thats why i was thinking its wrong brackets

would 4x4 ones cause this problem on a 2wd set up

+discs and calipers defo correct size
