Hi,
quick question, will an alcon 6 paddle last longer than an ap 4 paddle ? car is a 250bhp erst and it will be 'normal' driving, ie. no hard launching etc.... (my ap 4 paddle has only lasted about 6 months)
also where is the cheapest place to get an alcon clutch for a erst ?

IMO you would be better going for an Organic AP clutch
i suppose technically yes the alcon should last longer/be less harsh due to larger surface area (esp to the flywheel!
)
However i expect they would last a similar time if the car was carefully driven and wasnt 'stopping' and 'starting' in traffic

I cant really risk spending out on an organic clutch, getting it fitted and then it slipping when I come on boost
IMO I need a 'paddle' clutch of some type.
anyone know what sort of price the alcon 6 paddle is and where stocks them ? its for a s2 erst.
cheers, Duncan

Iv got the Ap 4 paddle in mine, if you do much city driving I would advise against it as its very off and on, better off with just an uprated road clutch.

yeah I do do city driving to and from work but as I said above, due to the power I cant risk fitting a normal uprated clutch and then it slipping.
any one know any prices for the alcon 6 paddle & suppliers ?

maybee, but I've heard of several other owners who have fitted the ap organic and had it slip with less bhp than me
Where as, no one I know of has had a paddle clutch slip so I suppose thats the 'safer' option to go for, plus I can always turn the boost up, the car made 263 bhp a few months ago, i've turned it down though for the time being
