w000!
94%, fucked a couple of them by not realising theyd changed the masses in the drawings
In physics, suction and centrifugal force do not exist

88%, got the pendulums wrong, the gears that go in reverse/direct/reduce which does seem a grey question as per chip said. Pressure outside baloon which I wasnt sure about anyway. And water in pipe but that was from rushing. Not a bad test

no, the pump lowers the pressure on the pump side of your finger, causing your finger to be pressed onto the pump by the now higher atmospheric presssure. When you remove your finger, the high atmospheric pressure pushes the air into the pump chamber to equalise the pressure

There is no such thing as suction in physics....Its creating a lower pressure in the chamber which is then filled by atmospheric pressure.... the laws of physics mean that any pressure differential will try to even itself out...how much it can even itself out before the valve closes has an effect on the VE of your engine.

There may not be such thing as suction in physics but there is such thing as vacuum. the two arguement are saying the same thing just in different ways. Both are correct in my opinion

a vacuum is relative, its just a pressure lower than atmospherics pressure

the "suck" is caused by the difference in pressure
it does "squeeze" but it doesn't "bang" otherwise your engine would be all over the shop
it's called a controled explosion
and it doesn't "blow" but it's the reverse of the "suck"
see "suck"

300 points 60%, a lot of years since I was at school, wasn't very good at physics and don't have any mechanical knowledge at all, I wasn't too bad at the circuit questions though, the rest just tried to work out with common sense, my brain switches off when I find something too hard
I only went through all 50 as I thought it would give you a summary of what you answered rightly and wrongly

I just re-did it (was thinking about gears 'n stuff on my walk to town!) and got 70% 350
be interesting to see what ones were right, I can't do the loads one, I am sure there are ones that should be obvious that I've got wrong
