Default Help Wanted re eBay

hi all

ill try to keep it breif as i want to know what you would do or where i stand to be honest

listed the car on the bay - as a buy it now and or make best offer , i get offered a ton less than my asking price outside ebay via like ask seller a q and i said ok to it - bloke said ring you in the morning re collection - an hour later someone offers me the same but via best offer so i accepted it as it was legit through ebay since that has happened ive had NO contact what so ever at all from this person in a couple days so out of hump my listing fees now £36 due to this mincer , i then contact the other guy from 1st time and hes game still and is coming sat morn at 9am , and as of last night got someone who says tere gonna come before , so i raise my 1st ever item dispute not paid etc - last night 19:45 he responds to ebay saying he would still like the car.

so ... i send him one last email saying confirm your details i said so you can contact ebay but not me ? ive made arrangements to sell the car outside ebay on saturday

and left it at that

my initial thoughts were 1st come 1st serve now as hes pi$$in me around and the bloke for sat looks genuine - i cant afford to wait around either as i have deposited a new new motor and is waiting for me to collect

thanks

Who ever put the pounds in your hand first mate. Only way to do it now a days, as theres to many messers about. If the guy though ebay wanted it, he should of payed a deposit.

I did this with my car when i sold it, Guy left a deposit to hold the car till he got his loan cleared etc, I had someone else coming to view it next day, he wanted the car and had the full asking price. So i let it go, felt a bit of a c*nt as i had a deposit, but end of the day, if his loan never cleared i was left with no buyer. i jus made up some shit and gave his deposit back

well, its a contract, so you are spose to stick with it, but TBH, if it got that bad, just make up some shite that head gasket blown or something so no longer for sale Worst that will happen, is you get neg feedback for not selling, but thats nothing to worry about.
