I usually press the "print screen" button and save it into Microsoft Paint or Microsoft Word.

sometimes you gotta hold down "FN" when you press "PRT SC"

..then just paste into paint, or photoshop or something

I press ALT and PRT SCR, to save only the current window, not the entire screen view.

Most good paint packages will open a window that is sized right for whats in the clipboard too.

Or if you're on Vista you can use "clipping" and highlight whatever portion of the screen you want to copy, paste into 'paint' et voila.
