Escort Cosworth Amal BIG UP NORTH YORKS BREAKERS
Got one at an incredible price...great service
Question to anyone that knows!
Looking at it from the top its got an injector type connecter and to outlets behind this one either side.
1.....Does it matter on this what amal electrical connection goes where?(using a 2wd Amal at present)
2.....I understand that you put a pipe from compressor to actuator and put in a t-piece between this with that pipe going to amal and then the other outlet goes top atmosphere, does it matter which way round?

Testing the future
1) normally not. it doesn't matter what the polarity is on a simple coil (unless there is a freewheel diode connected)
2) no idea. let us know if you find out. will be getting one to use with a S8 as boost control some time, same as you. let us know if it does what you want boost vs. rpm wise.

The valve is a 2port unit controlling a "Bleed Off" system.
The valve must be introduced into teh pipework closer to teh turbo than the actuator and must also be jetted in the T-Piece to allow a pressure stall in the pipework. I suggest you use the genuine Ford "T" for this purpose.
ALL Escos use this system.
