That's just personal preference though! I've always found rangies to be as reliable as Landies [which isn't all that but manageable ] except the older ones with the silly suspension set up... but the late ones are the same as each other anyway

Just get a nice NORMAL one, yeah with tints [you don't want the peasants peeking inside] but don't chrome it up like a fucking gypsy!

Actually yes! Our painter bought a dag off some pikeys for 50p and he's very cute and bright!!

I offered him a profit on it the other day but he's taught it to sit and he thinks it's worth alot more now

 

Forget the Rangey i Test drove a few when i Bought my First X5 and the X5 Won Hands Down.

Im now on my second X5 which has the same engine as the 4.4 V8 Rangey.

Oh and im selling my X5 Below which has just had its Photo Shoot for Total BMW Mag Its the Only Known White V8 Sport X5

 

X5 looks well but its a RR for me

they look the part if that's your bag, but if you actually intend to drive it as well, then try one first.. we had a RR Sport and Disco3 recently for work, and they're pretty grim to drive every day. All personal preference though I guess, some people like them, I'd put up for about 3 days.

 

they do look cool but not sure wether i would actually buy one.

but its only pocket money for you so just buy one anyway

 

Paul, Barry from our club was gonna get one till he spoke to his pal at Reg Vardy's in sunderland.

Apparently they are SHIT reliability and you have to spend Ł1700 a year on a warranty as the gearboxes and engines are made of chocolate. A guy had bought a brand spanking new Vogue HSE and he got a couple of miles from the dealership and the box went, they had it recovered sorted it out only for it to do it again a couple of days later!!

Without warranty an engine is Ł8k and a box is Ł4k !!!!!!

 

Go for it, as long as ot has warranty you will be fine.

They are no where near as crap as people are making out, however, of preferance I would get the Diesel.

My uncle gets a new one every year, and he is very happy with them now, he said the older ones pre-2002 were riddled with faults and common problems but now they are pretty much sorted and a well worthy buy.

These are a bit harder to get and are a rake more monies.

 

after one passed us at the ring, the only 4x4 i'd go for (if money was no object) is a cayenne turbo

 

q7 all day long imo.

My next door neighbour has a Q7, fucking gorgeous car!!!!!! There are a few RR and Landies at my work (make parts for LR and RR..hence directors cars) and theyre nice but tbh a full black Q7 with some nice wheels wins hands down....The one next door to me is a 4 litre diesel IIRC and has a big set of wheels (& brakes as std...look similar size to monster AP's).

But the main thing I'd be looking at is weither the wheels go with the car or not...the one next to me has 20+ inch alloys (cant remember exact & its dark now) and they look like they were meant to be on the car....Lots of LR/RR with 22inch wheels look daft IMO
