FAST AS FUCK

Saw over 180mph, didn't really go under 130mph ever. Pressed cruise control at 160mph.... you soon realise just how UTTER WANK OUR ROADS are compared with the French peages!!! beautiful roads. Smooth fast and empty.... a real real treat. oh and NO cops ever at all! didn't see one on roads and I must have driven 3000miles over the world cup!

i was on a private test track with a v10 e60 m5, i saw an indicated 150 and he was going away from me like the clappers.. obviously his wasnt limitayed to 155

 

E39 is the BEST M5 ever. Such a truely awesome car that has been engineered to be truely the ultimate driving machine. I can't wait to get one

Why do you :blabla , have you got an E60 M5? Or just on your dads insurance for his car

 

I have had the E39 for a couple of yrs now still got the Cossie though.

They are just effortless really-and pull so well at Any speed,the handling is addictive and so is the torque.

Re the E60 M5,its unbeatable above a ton but its ultimately less satistfying than the E39 which looks better inside and out.

well,we went down last night(me and neil-topaz).decent drive down in the audi at 90-100 mph.

eventually got on the m25 and then the m4.

test drive-all well,find out he owns black rs500 as well which he has had from new with 12000 miles on it and a fully blown mountune motor in it!!

he has just had the bmw mot'd and a full 4 wheel alignment.car is much better than i expected as it was a really good price.

cash changed hands,we refuelled and drove home.

very powerful car-even from 60 mph in 6th gear the grunt is awesome!

and used less fuel than the audi on the run home

first impressions-it feels like an excellent all round package which can be driven at any speed with ease.i really like it.

So the M5 would cost you roughly Ł2k a year more in fuel to run....

Hardly the end of the world is it. Thats about Ł50 a week more!!! nothing if you love them as much as you clearly do and are proper car enthusiast.... which I thought you were!!!

Exactly! surely its worth the Ł50 a week ALONE just on the fact that you can say 'I have an M5'.... and people think you are cool and a proper petrol head....

rather than 'I have a 5 series Diesel' and people think you are a tight arse with a beard who doesn't actually like cars

i really like this car.

so glad i went for this one-just shows the most expensive ones arent always the best and the cheaper ones arent always the worst....there is hardly a mark on it!apart from where i threw my tesco cheese sandwhich out at 100 mph!

Im glad an extra Ł2000 a year IN FUEL isnt 'the end of the world' to you mate, as it is to the average man (including myself), which is why we're not all driving around in 5.0 V8's.

Do we all have to go out and buy the fastest car out there that does 20mpg, to be classed as a 'proper car enthusiast'?
