Default MK3 Mondeo mirror cover removal

Please can anyone confirm how to remove the colour coded front shell of a Mk3 Mondeo (ST220) mirror? Do they just clip off or does the internals have to be removed first?

I know nothing about mirrors except to say you can see yourself in them.

yeah, small screw driver along the bottom edge then same at the top.
