Can't you help her by taking out a loan, or agreeing to pay so much per week to whoever she owes money too?
Most places can't legally chuck you out etc if you are paying something. Also if she's got a kiddie and gets evicted from her current place the council will have to put here up somewhere even if is is just temporary until they can re-house her.

If she has got herself into this mess...and you had no part in it...and the kid is not yours...you have NO RESPONSIBILITY OR DUTY TO HELP HER OUT
As said by someone previously, if you help her out this time, next time she'll be expecting it.
Steer WELL clear.

that way you get to keep the car, the locals know she's desperate, you make money
she gets her rent paid
you get your petrol paid
she's paying you back for what you shelled out on her

Dont sell your car, yeah you 2 have history but thats where things should remain with you 2 by the sounds of it.
She got herself in the mess, she should get herself out of it! There is ways to work things out - been there and done it myself id rather know i have sorted my debts out myself then have to get a ex to sell his pride and joy to support me.
Ps, you sound like a decent guy
