1) Don't use AOL

2) One assume this is Aol on Vista ?? Seeing as it's a new laptop ?

3) What's the issue when you try and sign on after logging off ?? Connection error ??

4) Does this happen as well as shutting down the laptop and restarting it ?

5) What modem do you have ? BT Voyager jobbie ??

Well you're using Windows which is bad enough but we all do it at some point or at least triple boot but to install AOL is just a nightmare and the reason i'm not going to help you but mock you instead.

I'll leave this one to the piss ant wannabes like Gti, Thrush etc. Thrush will probably write a 4000 word essay which won't actually help you at all. AOL By the end you'll be trying to connect a scart lead to the flux capacitor via the hifi system and wondering why it don't work.

Dunno if this helps ?

Are you connecting via wirelessly or via ethernet straight into the router ? What happens if you log off, unplug the mains from the router and plug it in, then try and sign on ?
