Default Sierra XR4x4i gearbox question

A mate of mine is looking for a gearbox for a 4x4 sierra cossie and is wondering is the box in a XR4x4 the same. He rang some guy and he told him they are both T9 gearboxs. Just wondering lads is this true?
Cheers for the help

the v6 xr4x4 wont fit and you can tell there a v6 as the clutch arm comes out of the wrong side

the 2.0 dohc 4x4 box will fut onto a yb no problems

all you do is swap over the front casing and input shaft from the 2.0 box to the V6 box as these are the only differences (other than sometimes the tail shaft is longer on the escos boxes)

quite right

you need the 2.9 box (with mods) or the dohc box (for direct fitment)

the 2.8 box is shit for over 200 horses, and don't fit either

the only part you have to change aswell on a dohc box is the clutch arm

as these are different to cossies

you also should change the pivot pin as well as its longer on the cosworth MT75 version otherwise you loose some clutch travel
