hi guys and gals
Got lots of mp3's i want to transfer from my PC to my laptop. Whats the best way to do it? I could use my memory stick and do them a few at a time, but i'd be here all night....
Could i get a double ended usb lead and plug them together in any way??
Cheers

How do you backup your files ?
If you don't, then go out and get a usb hard drive, couple of hundered gig is pretty cheap these days, and then use that.
Do you have wireless internet at home ? use that
or cross over network cable
loads of different ways

you will have to set up sharing on either PC, right click on your C drive and select Sharing
then on the other PC click on Start and then Run
type in the name of your other computer ie
\\laptop
and it should come up with the other machines shares

If you have lots of music, photos, documents etc that are important,i would recommend buying a external usb hard drive and keeping copies on this and either the laptop or computer, you can also just plug and play to either one..
They are quite cheap now and ideal for backing up important files.I recently lost a lot of my kids photos due to computer error, and now back up to a partition and a external usb drive as they are important to me.
Another way is to buy a 8gb usb flash drive from ebay for around £20
