Oil cooler for the charger:

heres to "videos" they turn out rubbish on my laptop, but the noise is there......... we need to change the dump valve to a different type, most likely a re-circulating one, but the noiseis very novel for a fiesta st!

no Benni, the back half is a gearbox and drivewheel, driven by a belt, front is same as a turbo though.

I hate it when people slag people for asking questions, how do people ever learn if they don't ask? I assume some people must be born knowing everything already

And if you are being an anorak, a turbo is an exhaust driven supercharger anyway

Been in a 400bhp supercharged 306, and it was by FAR the most impressive overall FWD car ive ever been in, ever.

Thats not to say all supercharged cars are, as ive been in plenty and always been totally underwhelmed, but this was the first one done properly, and was fantastic, mega strong and linear power delivery from idle to the 7600rpm rev limiter.

Centrifugal like the above one, a Rotrex one.

They might give you far less low/midrange than a usual type of supercharger or turbo, BUT that is a massive advantage on anything with limited grip, as it gives a power delivery perfectly linear to revs and throttle position, so totally controllable.

Decent power from idle and just got stronger and stronger and stronger as revs increased, peak torque was 300odd IIRC and at nigh on 7000rpm so you can imagine how strong it was at the top end.

But as it was so progressive there was no wheelspin, it just revved like a bastard in every gear and rocketed round everywhere.

Most fun FWD ever.

This car actually...
http://www.supercharger-experience.c...t_306_gti6.php

2 features on that site, but they a bit wank really if you really wanna know about the car, its 1st good feature, inc performance times (its FAST, hit the limiter in 6th at 161mph at Brunters with about half the track left to go ) etc etc, is in Issue 123 of Redline, out Nov 15th
